December 30, 2009

Meet the Clark’s. What a wonderful family. Dwight called me up the night before graduation and asked if I have anytime the next day to photograph him entire family, who had come in for his graduation. I was absolutely up for the challenge. These guys where awesome!! So much fun, and definitely troopers in the freezing cold weather!

“…I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…” – Lubbock Photographer

December 24, 2009

Last night a cold front came through here and when John and I woke up this is what we saw. We are stuck at our house because of the giant snow drift that is crossing our only way out! We may be stuck at the house…but we had some fun today in the snow. Our front yard had a place dug out that used to be a pond and it is completely full of snow. We decided to run and jump into it…John was quite a bit better at it than me!! Check it out!!

“…oh, the weather outside is frightful…” – Lubbock Childrens Photographer

December 18, 2009

Well last weekend I went out to the Harkey’s house to photograph their grandkids. It just so happened to be one of the coldest days we have had so far this winter. But we found some warm spots to snap a few shoots! I had so much fun playing and chasing them around. Kids are always a challenge but it is so fun to capture their personalities in each image.

“…Let the sunlight in…” – Texas Family Photographer

December 16, 2009

I have been pretty bad lately at keeping up with my blog. Well…I have some good reasons…I have been really busy (great reason number 1), just finished up school for the semester (great reason number 2), and I have been spending time with my family (awesome reason number 3)!!! Here is a little evidence to back up reason number 3, my favorite Sis and her family. Click on the image to view the slideshow!! (Don’t forget to turn up your speakers!)

“…the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful…” – Lubbock Photographer

December 6, 2009

This past week has been a whirlwind. SB has been extremely busy and I am so grateful. I have been getting all of our Christmas orders in and my school projects finished up. After this semester I only have two classes left until I graduate. It is pretty amazing to me to know that in May of next year I will have a Masters in Architecture. I cannot wait to see what’s in store for John and me. I realized the other day that the entire time John and I have been married I have been a college student. Wow! It will be so fun to get to hang out with my husband without having to worry about school projects and homework. More post to come soon, but in the meantime, I am leaving you with a picture I took tonight of my favorite mug, full of delicious hot chocolate, as I sit at my desk editing away!!

“…diva is a female version of a hustla…” – Lubbock Senior Photography

December 4, 2009

This past Sunday evening Ashley and I had planned on taking her senior pictures…well…Mother Nature had something else in mind. It was freezing cold, windy and sleeting. We decided to wait and do her session another day, but we went ahead and did a few shots in my new studio! I am loving my studio space, and boy did it come in handy that day! Check her out…She is beautiful.

“…But I got everything I’ll ever need…” – Lubbock Photographer

December 2, 2009

Well, it has been very busy around here, which is great, but a little stressful! I am trying to finish up my Christmas orders and my final projects for school. I had so much fun last week though with my family. My sister got to come to town with her husband and their two boys. I hadn’t seen them in a while so it was so good to get to play with them and see Colt running around and playing with his big brother Caleb. We also went over to John’s sister, Kate’s, new house for Thanksgiving this year. So many fun picture and here are my favs!!
