Sometimes you meet up with a couple that you instantly click with. Well, that was Emily and Josh! I had so much fun with these two and felt like we were old friends. You can instantly tell how much Josh is in love with Emily. It was their 1 year anniversary and they brought the top of their wedding cake that had been frozen. We decided to do some fun cake-in-the-face shots since on their wedding day they opted for the sweeter version. ha-ha! It was so much fun to do something different. Leave me a comment…it’ll make my day!!

“…if I told you you were beautiful, would it make you cry…” – Lubbock Wedding Photographer
July 21, 2010Well, I sure had a heck of a week last week. My little nieces came over last Tuesday night for a campout. We had a camp fire, made smores (that they refused to eat…ha-ha) and slept in the tent in the backyard all night. Well…at about 6am on Wednesday I was awake and felt a little sprinkle. In about 3 seconds it started pouring rain on us in our tent. John jumped up to try and get the rain cover on the tent while covered the girl with our sheet. Needless to say, the rain cover didn’t block that much rain and we had to run inside. So much for our campout! Oh well, the girls still had fun and it will make for a good story for a while. But, as we were running inside there was a huge lighting strike and crash right by our house, or possibly on our house, and is fried my computer, my server, our entire internet connection, the garage door openers, our telephones, my router, printer and maybe a few other things we haven’t discovered yet! But, everyone is fine and almost everything is repaired now. It was definitely a weird Wednesday. So…all that to say…sorry to all of my clients for the delay in galleries and email returns. But, I am back up and running now so I will be working extra hard for the next few days to get all caught up. Now here is Krystal and Matt…they are getting married next January in Mexico!! Hope you enjoy your belated sneak peek guys!!
So I got a new backdrop a few weeks back, and needed to do a little experimenting. Okay, I know a plain ole white backdrop doesn’t sound that exciting but I have been having a blast with it. I have been able to try loads of new lighting set-ups. But, when I first unwrapped this little jewel I was itching for some test subjects. So…introducing…my BBQ sandwich, my niece, and my incredibly hott husband John. ha-ha! I love how clean it is and really forces you to focus on the subject. PS…that sandwich is incredible…B-Man’s BBQ at Milwaukee & FM2641…you must go get some! There was enough meat in that baby for me to make 3 sandwiches…
I was down in Huntsville this past weekend and got to photograph Desri and Jason. I was so much fun to get to meet and hang out with these two before their wedding in July. I cannot wait for their wedding either…completely vintage!! It was also a blast to get to photograph in a totally new setting. Huntsville is beautiful and so much fun…even though my feet were covered in chiggers after walking out in the woods! haha! But, I got some awesome shots so no big deal, right? P.S….check out the Jones soda. That’ll be their last name…love it!
You gotta go check out Desri’s website! She is an awesome Graphic Designer, and does beautiful wedding invitations!!

May 17, 2010Meet Dillon, my very last senior of 2010! I had a lot of fun going around town and finding new locations to photograph. He is planning on going to film school so he enjoyed and participated in the location hunting as well. Good luck Dillon!! Can’t wait to tell people…hey…I took his seniors pictures! =)
This last week…on Tuesday to be exact…I attended my last day of college…for the rest of my life! I cannot begin to explain how happy that makes me. If you would have told me 10 years ago I would have a masters degree, I would have never believed you. I never thought college was in the cards for me then, and all I can say is I am so glad I did it! It was tough, and there were many late nights and bad moods…which reminds me…I need to cook my husband many meals of fried chicken to make up for it. Thank you to my family and friends that helped me keep going. I would have never made it through without all of you! So on that note, here is Masie! She is a senior at New Deal High School. Have fun in these next four years, Masie, they go by fast…so hang on!

April 30, 2010This is Misty…she is getting married this coming June. Her reception is going to be at the Windmill Center with a killer live band!! I am so excited to get to be a part of the big day. The wind tried to throw us off our game, but we made it through. I am kind of starting to dig the wind a little bit. It is like having my own personal wind machine. But….only sometimes, other times it gets a little crazy! Ha-ha!
